Every Moment Counts
Today I have my two oldest boys heading off to college. My oldest is going back to Baylor. He will be a sophomore. But Chris and I are taking our 18 year old son, Josh, to Nashville, TN where he will be going to Belmont University. We are driving a Penske truck 14 hours. It’s hard to believe Josh is heading off to college. It seems like just the other day he was heading off to Kindergarten. But time flies. We are so excited for him that he is following his dream but at the same time it is bittersweet. It just reminds me again of how important it is to make the most of every moment.
So, how are you making the most of every moment in your relationships? Check back tomorrow, and I will let you know how the 14-hour trip is going!

My oldest son starts the 2nd grade on Monday and I just know that in a flash I will be in your situation with him heading off to college.
I think it is important for us to be intentional about creating memories with our kids. It is easy to get in a pattern where each day looks a lot like every other day. Each week like every other week. Each month like every other month.
As parents, we have to make an effort create days, weeks, and months that stand out from the rest. Our relationships with our children will grow stronger as we create those memories.
